These photos are late in coming from the lovely baby shower my girlfriends Julie, Steph and April threw for me in July. It was such a beautiful day and we had a wonderful time chatting, eating and opening gifts. Before the shower, my mom hosted my aunt and cousins at her home in the country for lunch...we sat in the sun and ate to our hearts content. What a perfect day with the ones I love!

Just before baby...

With our due date only two weeks away now, we decided we wanted some pictures to commemorate our long journey through pregnancy and to have these memories forever. David's sister Amanda lovingly spent the afternoon with us taking these great pictures, some of which we are going to frame for Jack's room and some for ours. We spent time at the nearby our house at a local park and then went to the rock garden grotto that has always been a beautiful place to take photos! I can hardly believe our little man is so close to being here, but when I look at my belly in these pictures...it becomes even more real.
I am going to try to post our last ultrasound video again too, it was being finicky last time. Our little boy was 5.2lbs as of our 36 week appointment and should now be near 6lbs. He is getting bigger, I can almost feel him growing!

A baby shower for Julie!

Yesterday my girlfriends and I threw a shower for our dear friend Julie....we had a wonderful time and had a chance to take some new pictures together too, and compare our baby bumps! She is due within days of our little guy. We think it's a girl, but she's tight lipped! We'll find out soon enough! How wonderful to be having babies together!

34 weeks!

We're only six weeks away and frankly, if he comes before that it might not be such a bad thing. I also think he's turned into position, which makes it a it easier to move and sleep, but it does make my ribs numb from all the little feet messing around with them. The crib, stroller and car seat are the next on the list and we're getting ready for a month of fun summer times! This weekend is a trip up north to see family and maybe even a concert, a baby shower for Julie and a day at the Nordic Fest with Mom. Then there's the Freeborn County Fair....demo derby and cotton candy! Then camping with the Greiners in Alex in August. So much fun....and hopefully a way to help the waiting game go a little faster!

30 Week Milestone at Yellowstone...

This last weekend, as we drove home from Seattle we spent a day at Yellowstone to celebrate our last road trip before baby. The weather was so beautiful we were blessed beyond belief and to have the park wide open for our enjoyment...simply perfect. It was also a great way to celebrate that we are fully into the third trimester with less than ten weeks to go! David took most of these pictures and made them so artistic and lovely, we're going to frame some of them for the baby's room.

Celebrating Baby in Seattle...

Our first baby shower was last weekend in Seattle hosted by our dear friends Meresa and her Mom Cynthia. It was such a nice relaxing day...after breakfast at the Five Spot (my favorite classic Seattle restaurant) and morning service at UPC (my favorite church in Seattle) we had some of my best and most devoted friends come to celebrate our baby boy. Tea, coffee and carrot cake made the menu and we had a great time reminiscing about the times we'd spent together and how everyone met me...most importantly, how we became friends. Thank you Meresa and Cynthia, we had a wonderful time!

28 Weeks....

Hi friends! We are now in our 28th week and are growing faster than ever. Thankfully not putting on weight too fast any more but the belly is expanding and our little guy is so active all the time now. I can count at least ten to fifteen kickboxing sessions a day. He is about 2.5 lbs and is about 14 inches long. His heartbeat is strong and things look to be right on schedule. Mom is doing well too, finding new ways to be comfortable and getting anxious for her first flight as a pregnant woman....Seattle for a baby shower next weekend! This is really exciting for us because we will be able to see friends that we haven't seen in almost a year and be able to celebrate the coming of this little guy together! Thanks Meresa and Cynthia for throwing this lovely party for us! Our 30 week milestone will be marked with pictures from the Emerald City so stay tuned!These pictures are not so good but what else can one do when they are home alone? I at least wanted there to be some pictures from my 28th week....it's been a while since we posted the last ones and my belly has grown so much since then!
